| Georgia Mason, of Emerald Isle, employs a broad range of materials and techniques, such as watercolor, acrylic,and collage to enhance and enliven her style. Bold color choices and blends of textures characterize much of her recent work. Her experiments with varying types of supports, such as gessoed paper, canvas and YUPO paper have served to free her from traditional constraints, resulting in a spontaneity and fluidity that brings new vigor to her subjects. Expressive and evocative, her paintings convey a sense of personal exploration and discovery. She considers herself a layerist in paint, paper and life. |
