| Geri Schmalle ~ Ink Drawings |

| Biography I had 20 years of intensive private art lessons, studying with both Hazel Davenport, the Franklin Pierce High school art teacher who taught basic drawing and all mediums, and Harmon Davenport, a professional artist who taught commercial art and watercolors. During the 1970-1971 school year, I was a volunteer art teacher for the 1st and 2nd grades at the Central Avenue Grade school in Tacoma, Washington. My art was displayed in the Twin Totems and Black Rose art galleries in Washington State between 1995-2001. The entire month of October 1996 at Gonzaga University Schoenberg Center there was a one-woman show of my art. I was the Vice President of the Stevens County Arts Commission from 1994-1999. I am one of the artists in the talent pool for Oldfield Productions, Inc. This art group has been exhibiting art in Washington, Oregon and California for the last 30 years. I am a member of Art-exchange. com in Hot Springs, Arkansas. They display my work mainly for the business world. I have now illustrated children’s books for two would-be authors, as well as writing and illustrating my own book for future publication. |
